Our History
The El Plantío International School of Valencia (ISV) It was founded by Don Alberto Rodríguez y Doña Lucía Ortega Founded in 1972, with the aim of creating an educational environment where learning, respect, and values would play a central role in the development of young people, their commitment was clear: to offer a quality, personal, and meaningful education that would prepare students for life.
The school began as a Spanish center, but its founders soon understood the need to open its doors to the world. 1982, El Plantío took an important step by adopting the British curriculum, becoming the first educational center authorized by the Spanish and British authorities being the leading international education institution in the Valencian Community. This decision responded to an educational purpose that remains valid: to train students with critical thinking, analytical skills, and a solid preparation for a global future.
Over the years, this vision has been consolidated with a diverse educational community, a committed faculty, and an approach focused on the holistic development of each student. Every stage has been an opportunity to grow, adapt, and improve, always with the aim of offering a demanding, personalized education that respects the pace and needs of each student.
Commitment to Innovation
One of the most important milestones in the school's history was the implementation of the prestigious program of International Baccalaureate (IB), siendo el primer centro educativo británico en ofrecerlo en la Comunidad Valenciana. Esta apuesta, impulsada por Doña Lucía Ortega y Don Alberto Rodríguez, reflejó desde el principio una fuerte sensibilidad hacia la innovación pedagógica y el deseo de ofrecer una preparación que trascienda lo puramente académico.

Today, El Plantío ISV continues to move forward strongly, led by the new generation of the family Don Eduardo Rodríguez Ortega y acompañado por un equipo internacional, experimentado y entusiasta. Nuestro colegio es, ante todo, una comunidad: un espacio donde familias, alumnos y profesores colaboran día a día para construir un entorno cálido, exigente y estimulante.
